As an award winning and trusted provider of IT Solutions and managed services to a wide range of UK organisations, this is the perfect chance to gain that crucial on the job working experience alongside a team of diverse and welcoming people Working with the title of "Service Desk Analyst Apprentice" the successful candidate will have the chance to receive constant support and guidance whilst working to achieve an Industry accredited Level 3 qualification in the Infrastructure Technician Standard. Roles & Responsibilities; Support the Senior team and help to provide internal technical support for EACS' systems including server, desktop and networking infrastructure Help to complete PC Builds, the installation Operating Systems and peripherals for internal and external customers Learn how to liaise with and build strong working relationships with stakeholders To become an ambassador for EACS to maintain and enhance the companies reputation Support and record all calls to ensure accurate information about the clients systems is maintained and available to other support personnel and account managers Help to escalate issues in line with guidance Work alongside other support staff to build knowledge and skills pertinent to the sites supported To comply with all the necessary working practices relating to the customer site Take a proactive approach to customer IT Systems; to ensure problems are avoided and the longer term development of the customer IT Systems are considered. To be able to manage demanding users on customer sites who have high expectations Be able to communicate technical issues and concepts to a non-technical audience Work together with Line Manager to develop and enhance knowledge and skill sets There may be a requirement to provide cover to other customer sites when absence by engineers Assist with any other relevant tasks, as directed by the Line Manager. If your looking to get your foot in the door of an expanding and supportive IT Industry and want the chance to learn and earn, then apply as soon as possible Desired skills If you have any experience or knowledge in the following; this would be an additional bonus: - Any understanding of Networking, Firewall or ITIL is a bonus - Knowledge or understanding on Microsoft Server, Desktop OS and Microsoft Exchange and O365 - Potential understanding on the installation of Windows OS - Proven Customer Service Skills - A demonstrable passion and interest in IT or Technology; through previous education or as a hobby Personal qualities • Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude • Ability to follow processes • Positive, enthusiastic and supportive individual • Ability to take ownership of and progress issues • Ability to work under pressure • Ability to work in a team and to support team members. • Ability to build good working relationships with internal and external contacts. Desired qualifications You'll need to have a minimum 5 GCSEs, grade A-C/7-4 or the Level 2 equivalent including English, maths and ICT. Training to be provided The Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship will enable you to gain the relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours to provide first or second line support to internal and external customers and stakeholders to help them be productive when using technology. By the end of the programme, you will be able to set people up on their IT systems and provide support when needed, rectifying issues to maintain colleagues’ and the organisation’s productivity. Job roles include helpdesk technician, first or second line IT support roles or Network support roles.
