Overview
Web Developer Based : London Term : Full-time, Permanent YOU As a keen developer and music lover, you want to help us build a robust platform to bring music production into the connected world. Maintainability, testing, clean code and continuous delivery are core to your work ethic. YOUR ROLE Our API currently powers three of the world's most successful iOS music making apps (Launchpad, Groovebox and Blocs Wave) as well as the ground breaking Ampify Studio desktop music app, in conjunction with a powerful backend library of sounds. We need someone to help scale our platform's capabilities to cater for our fast growing user base. You will actively participate in the development of our API, mostly Javascript/Typescript backed by a PostgreSQL database. This will involve working with a wide range of technologies across the web stack from designing our REST API, maintaining our cloud infrastructure, database design and internal tools to help the content team manage the catalogue. YOUR TASKS Delivering clean code and well tested features to improve the Ampify platform Reviewing pull requests from other team members. Helping with the design of a scalable and secure platform. YOUR PROFILE You have an excellent programming foundation in one or more languages (we use Javascript/Typescript/Python/Ruby) You have at least 2-years in a similar role You enjoy developing applications using Node JS. You have experience with some (or all) of the following technologies: Postgresql, React (and the react ecosystem), Linux, AWS. You have experience working with REST APIs and the HTTP protocol You have experience with Test Driven Development, continuous integration and developing applications in lean way. You're keen to get your hands dirty and learn new skills You get on well in a small team, working closely and communicating clearly with others You make music or have experience with music software You're a cloud native and keen to use the opportunities it provides About Us Incorporating the Focusrite, Novation and Ampify brands, we aim to enrich lives through music by removing barriers to creativity.
