Hello fellow Resource Planning professionals Here at QVC we’re looking for a Operational Forecasting Planning Analyst for our Operations Centre, someone who is a success driven analytical thinker who is eager to learn and grow. Led by our Resource Planning Manager, you will have the responsibility for ensuring that optimal Operational long term and medium term forecasts are in place for all variable labour areas, in order to execute the plan and achieve Contact Centre and Distribution Service and Cost KPIs. Develop and implement statistical forecast models to increase forecasting accuracy, constantly reviewing output to identify opportunities for enhancements. You will get some exciting opportunities to support, shape and develop the forecasting models but that’s not all; you will also be responsible for: Production of forecast models based on artificial intelligence (AI) and statistical approaches for Contact Centre and Distribution for QVC International (SAS) Provide long term forecasts (month plans) 3 months out for Contact Centre and Distribution areas, identifying anticipated volumes across these streams and highlighting key event days or activity that may impact the operation Source the relevant data feeds to use for forecast deployment and analysis constantly reviewing inputs Review sales/unit/call performance highlighting any deviations from trends, to improve future forecasting. Work closely with wider teams to understand reasons for variations and influence change working collaboratively with our Business Planning team. Continually research, review processes and technologies, suggesting, planning and executing beneficial changes taking into account industry improvements in practice and implementing these improvements with forecasting, whilst enhancing Operational effectiveness in order to reduce cost and improve customer experience Review and share best practice with our international markets; making recommendations for improvements Identify opportunities for exception forecasting to improve overall accuracy of forecast Developing new and existing KPI’s to support the forecasting processes as well as operational efficiency Enhancement and automation of existing models for more efficiency Maintain data servers and data sources for Contact Centre and Distribution to ensure accurate forecast models, analysis and reporting Review and challenge existing methods of forecasting sales and volumes, together with current assumptions to ensure continuous improvement. Review and recommend potential opportunities to drive cost savings throughout our operation and drive employee engagement We feel that to be truly great in this role you will be someone who wants to develop both personally and professionally and really gets a kick out of working in a busy environment. You will also have experience of working with a resource planning function and have a proven track record of success. Experience required: Ability to develop and publish forecasting model using SAS Enterprise Ability and experience in using Python Advanced ability and experience using SQL The recruitment process for this role will be a variety of tasks in an assessment centre environment.
