Role: Head of Sales Job Type: Permanent Location: London Salary: £100,000 base Comms (Base Negotiable) Chapman Tate Associates seeks a Head of Sales to join a successful IT VAR. Established for 30 Years with T/O of circa £51M they are a leader in their field offering IT Hardware solutions into several leading Broadcast and Financial Corporations. They offer products such as Lenovo, HP, Dell, Apple, Servers and Storage solutions. Our client has grown rapidly in the past few years by offering top tier solutions combined with an exceptional service. As a result of this growth, they are now looking for an experienced Head of Sales to manage and mentor a highly successful sales team. They have a structured plan over the next few years to ensure that the company grows into its next phase. They will be on the lookout for a strategic individual that will be comfortable developing relationships with Technical Leaders to CEO/Board level and use your skills to influence and create relationships. You will lead a team of 14 individuals and will strategically mentor them. This will be a non-billing role as you will be required to be hands-on and lead from the front, motivating, training and developing the team and working internally with the stakeholders. You will be responsible for the full sales revenue of the company, you will be a strategic and entrepreneurial individual who wants to grow your long-term career. Knowledge/ Experience Required We are looking for a high energy, driven and motivated individual. Prior experience in the IT VAR sector is welcome (particularly selling Apple Mac/iOS solutions) but much more important is your attitude, hunger and ability to motivate a sales team. The successful applicant will be a dynamic and inspiring manager with the credibility and personality that will enthuse the team. You have experience of transforming a sales team, creating account management plans, up-sell / cross sell solutions and how to maximise every opportunity to ensure you are taking the business to the next level. Core skills and background include: • A B2B sales background • A successful background in sales management • Strong coaching and mentoring skills including the ability to develop people • Excellent structure and process • The ability to work to, set and achieve targets • Good product knowledge of IT VAR solutions It is key that this person is a strong coach and mentor.
