Deputy IT Manager We are looking for an experienced IT professional to join us as a Deputy IT Manager and support us in delivering excellent support to our remote users. This is a Full-Time Permanent position, operating in standard office hours that will pay between £35 - £39k per year. This will suit individuals in the Reading and surrounding areas as it is within 20 mins by bus from Reading Central Station and also has access to staff parking. About Us? In response to the recent epidemic, we have been working hard to ensure our students can continue to progress their studies via virtual classrooms and through other methods. As the Deputy IT Manager, you would work with the IT Manager and the Head of E-learning to ensure or students can effectively access and participate with their teachers during the school closures. What will you do? The main duties of the Deputy IT Manager are: • You will work with our IT helpdesk to effectively troubleshoot user issues and ensure that tickets are distributed appropriately • You will prioritise responses and manage team workloads to ensure SLA's and KPI's are met • You will support and mentor 1st and 2nd line support technicians • You will liaise with external service providers • You will work with department heads to develop effective IT strategies to enhance the provision of services • As the Deputy IT Manager, you will work to ensure we adhere to all regulations surrounding GDPR, Safeguarding and internal standards About you? The main skills and experience required of the Deputy IT Manager are: • A recognised IT qualification • Qualification in ITIL, CCNA and MCSE – desirable • Experience working in a school background • A strong understanding of various IS systems and tools such as Office 365, SharePoint, Windows Server 2012 • Experience supporting Android and iOS devices • Excellent knowledge of LANs/WANs/WLANs/VPNs etc • Skilled use of PowerShell scripting What next?
