Job Description

Circle Reading outpatients and pre assessment department are looking for a deputy lead with a willingness to learn and develop themselves and others. In partnership with the lead nurse, they will play a pivotal role in leading outpatients and pre assessment into the future. The successful candidate will be keen to develop their management skills, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have past experience of change management that they can bring to the role. Role & Responsibilities for a deputy lead for outpatients and pre assessment: The post holder will deputise for the outpatient and pre assessment lead contributing to the achievement of the aims and objectives of the outpatient department. The will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the outpatient and pre assessment department providing leadership to the departmental nursing team. They will ensure high standards of care are consistently delivered to our patients. They will ensure that a high quality, cost effective service is delivered and take a lead in developing the services of the OPD. Working flexibly, as part of the hospital's clinical team, to provide the highest standards of nursing care to our patients; to maintain high standards of communication throughout the hospital, and to make a positive contribution towards the team's pursuit of excellence Preparing clinic rooms for procedures including preparation of sterile instrumentation, equipment and supplies as required, ensuring appropriate use of resources and minimal waste. Ensuring the Patient Record is completed in a timely and accurate way. Maintaining effective channels of communication at all times.
