What's special about Rose Ward? Rose ward is a 22 bed ward in Prospect Park Hospital and supports adults with mental health conditions. Based in Reading, located close to the amenities of the town centre and a leafy park, the facility works closely with patients to help them identify their needs and participate actively in their recovery, providing a place of nurture, where they can find hope and meaningful purpose to their lives. About you: You will be an enthusiastic and experienced registered mental health nurse looking to develop your senior leadership skills. With a passion for caring for vulnerable patients, you will have excellent communication and people skills, a warm personality and the resilience to help us transform our patients' lives. You will have a good understanding of mental health treatment and legislation and be an inspirational leader, sensitive to the needs of colleagues and empowering them to be their best by creating a culture of continuous professional improvement. Calm, confident and assertive in emotionally demanding situations, you will be astute at setting and maintaining professional boundaries. You will be proactive, ensuring seamless delivery across a multi-disciplinary team, building partnerships and collaborating with support services. Communicating complex and sensitive information in an effective and compassionate manner, you will be a sympathetic advocate for patients, ensuring that their dignity is maintained and cultural and spiritual values are met.
