Previous experience is not required as full training will be given in the practical elements of the role.You just need to be willing to learn. There will be many people who have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 crisis and have excellent transferrable skills from a variety of industries; including leisure and hospitality.You may have experience in health & safety, infection control and food hygiene – all of which would transfer across to this role perfectly. Working hours are a minimum of 30 hours up to 37 ½ hours guaranteed per week, on a rota basis - a weekend on and weekend off.We require flexibility in the role to meet the needs of the business. Duties/ Responsibilities Working in the community and reporting directly to Team Leaders.Care Workers are responsible for the delivery of day-to-day care across the community.This includes a ssisting clients with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting, and performing light housekeeping tasks; at all times guaranteeing the safety and well-being of clients. Essential/ Desirable Skills · Level 2 Health & Social Care Diploma (desirable but not essential as long as you are willing to learn - with the opportunity to enrol on a fully funded & supported training course). · Driving Licence (Desirable – or a means to get around homes in the community) Essential Attributes · Excellent communication skills both written and verbal · Self-motivated and reliable – flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude · Trustworthy and discreet – to maintain the strictest of confidentiality at all times · Good values and ethics to fit in and meet with that of the Trailblazer’s Ethos; caring, kind, empathetic, compassionate, honest, respectful, able to work with discretion and confidentiality, show respect and honour the dignity of all Salary £9.33 per hour.
