Job Title – Project Quantity Surveyor – Multi-Disciplined Main Contractor Package - £50k - £65k Company Car/Travel Allowance, Pension, Healthcare & Bonuses Location – Essex/London Our client are a privately owned, multi-disciplined Main Contractor based in Essex who work with an extremely impressive client list. They currently turnover over £35m and this figure is set to increase year on year. They are involved in projects throughout Essex & the South East and have built up an excellent reputation which shows in the amount of repeat business they secure. They are currently looking to bring on an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor who has experience working on variety of projects up to values of £5m This is an amazing opportunity to work for a modern and leading contractor. Job description & Responsibilities of the Project Quantity Surveyor Calculate all the prime costs on developments within the business, reporting any movements in the costs since the preparation of the land purchase exercise. Prime costs to include but not restricted to house pricing, labour costs, site work operations and remediation work. Oversee P&L on each project. Deal with valuations & payment notices. Provide a detailed cost budget and share with Site Project Team at the appropriate time. Detail a labour cost schedule including anticipated target hours. Maintain schedules of quantities and price them individually for prime cost budget. Once land opportunities are identified, familiarise the geographical area and consider site issues. Prepare estimates of all prime costs inc. subcontract and materials. Complete the apportionment of total prime costs to individual plots and produce a profit analysis for the Director. Monitor and explain all cost movements. Responsible for procurement of subcontractors, including payments, variation orders and day works and settlement of final accounts.
