Overview
Product Development Technologist; Mult-disciplined role in tabletting ideally tabetting expertise from pharma or vitamins, supplements, Natraceuticals. Dynanic person requirement with a personality to manage customers and bring together internal departments. General Overview for the Product Development Technologist; New Vacancy for a Product Development Technologist to work as a key member of the NPD Team. NPD is of huge importance as we strive to introduce innovative concepts and new product launches to the market, driving the company forward. The role will involve the development of tablets, hard shell capsules and sachet formats for the nutraceutical sector along with licensed product development (predominantly traditional herbal remedies). Principle Objectives/Key Tasks for the Product Development role; Carry out small scale laboratory work preparing samples for customer/production approval, assessing their suitability for large scale manufacture. This may be both for new developments and for issues on existing formulations from production. Evaluate and approve new raw materials ensuring they are suitable for use in production and meet current legislation. Ensure that the laboratory is compliant with BRC/MHRA required standards including laboratory equipment. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Of graduate calibre with a relevant chemistry/pharmaceutical science qualification, you will be motivated with a practical and common sense approach Previous formulation experience especially with solid dose formats would be a distinct advantage Ability to work under pressure with good attention to detail This is a customer facing role so good communication skills are essential if you are from a Product Development, Formulation NPD background, please apply now
