Overview
An exciting opportunity for an Assistant Plant Manager to join a leading property developer and building contractor in Manchester that construct multi-million-pound prestigious high-rise apartment developments across the city centre. The Role You will be based at the head office in Manchester and will be required to travel to and from site as and when required. You will sit within a plant team of 20 and will act as main point of contact for the plant department. You will be responsible for: · Ensuring that quality & compliance procedures are always adhered to · Ensure Health & Safety procedures are practiced, and environmental risks are kept to a minimum. · Managing a plant team including plant controllers & drivers · You will have control and responsibility for c reating and following budgets and preparing profit and loss projections · Creating reports and spreadsheets · Keeping records of all owned or rented machinery · Ensuring machinery is maintained and serviced to legal health and safety & compliance standards · Managing all the official plant paperwork · Mobilizing and demobilizing at the beginning and end of a project, scheduling and coordinating plant across each site The Experience Required · You will have proven management experience within the plant hire industry or trade sector · You will hold a full UK driving license · You will have previously worked as a Plant Supervisor or Plant Manager for a Plant hire company or trade sector. · Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook & Excel. · Excellent communication, leadership and organisational abilities. · Attention to detail with the ability to problem solve under pressure and use initiative to overcome day to day issues. The Salary & Package You will benefit from an annual salary of up to £35,000, travel allowance, contributory pension scheme, 25 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays, death in service cover (3 x annual salary).
