Centrally located with easy access to Tunbridge Wells, Hastings, Ashford and Maidstone, The Priory Hospital, Ticehurst House has 70 beds across 3 service lines: Adult Acute and young peoples wards (CAMHs). We offer comprehensive inpatient and outpatient specialist mental health services for young people and adults in a safe and supportive environment. We have recently expanded our service with the addition of a newly purpose built 12 Bed Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Enabling our patients to receive a truly integrated and holistic approach to their treatment, regardless of complexity or severity, thanks to the knowledge and expertise of our multidisciplinary clinical teams. We are seeking a full time specialty grade doctor to work on our private adult ward which comprises of 9 beds. You will deliver high quality clinical services to patients in partnership with the unit's multi-disciplinary team, Consultants and Resident Medical Officer. You will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive a holistic and person-centric treatment programme, undertaking psychiatric assessments to determine and inform the delivery of the Care Programme. You will be supervised and directed by The Consultant Psychiatrist/s and be responsible for the professional supervision of clinical staff members. Demonstrable experience of working within psychiatry is essential and previous experience of working within a secure and /or step-down setting is desirable. An MBBS qualification or equivalent is required along with knowledge of Section 2 assessments and approval processes under the Mental Health Act.
