Overview
We here at Siamo Recruitment are working in partnership with a prestigious parcel delivery company keen to onboard a Regional Route Planner, due to an exciting time of growth. As a Regional Route Planner you will have responsibility for planning and overseeing regional requirements. You will ensure that the delivery of service by the Field and Courier Team is delivered in a timely and efficient way, to increase output in the region. A key area of focus will be regional round planning and cost control. Benefits when joining our client: A performance related bonus up to £6000.00 per annum 26 days Bank Holidays entitlement Opt in benefit scheme This Regional Planner role will have the following responsibilities: Working with the Depot General Manager and Regional Delivery Manager to achieve regional targets and service levels Plan round changes for solus/sub depots within the region Manage rates to ensure that all rounds are within legal guidelines On a regular basis, review round costs against regional budgetary targets Support the Contractor Team with round planning and cost improvements to parcel rates Plan and develop round coverage improvements for the region which includes next day delivery, Sundays, light and large etc You will measure Courier recruitment through analysing the Courier turnover and identify ways to improve this, setting pipeline targets, measuring success and highlighting problem areas Co-ordinate Courier pipeline solutions, ensuring hard to fill areas are regularly targeted by using all methods including advertising, mail shots and recruitment days The ideal candidate will have the following: Possess previous experience of planning, co-ordination, creating contingencies and solutions is essential Analytical thinker Possess strong communication and presentation skills Be able to see the bigger picture and understand how good planning methodology can support business efficiency The ability to create spread sheets and pivot tables Familiarity with planning tools such as Geoplan, Map Point, Paragon, etc. is desirable but is not essential
