Job Title: Freight Operative - FLT Counterbalance Location: Slough, Berkshire Salary: £23000 to £23000 Plus 4% Bonus Hours: Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 5:30pm Freight Operative The Candidate You must hold a Counterbalance licence possess a full, clean UK driving license Basic knowledge of computerised inventory systems, warehouse functions and MS Office (Excel) Excellent attention to detail Relevant experience within a warehouse environment Knowledge of health and safety rules Self-motivated with good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team Knowledge/Familiarity of delivery documentation/paperwork Physically fit and able Prior experience is cargo security screening Freight Operative The Role Screening and X-Ray of all goods as required inline with legal compliance. Completion of documentation as required Load/unload vehicles, including accurate completion of paperwork To assist as required with the receipt, checking and dispatch of all goods which pass through the warehouse making local deliveries and collections in the company vehicle as and when the business requires. Sortation of orders, ensuring accuracy of paperwork General warehouse duties. Palletising and wrapping of goods Ensure daily forklift truck checks are completed and appropriate documentation completed Observe Health and Safety regulations at all times Air cargo security screening via X-Ray & ETD methods The Company Our client is a global brand within the freight forwarding market.
