Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineer Permanent Cambridge - commutable from Biggleswade, Bedford, Royston, Stevenage £35,000 - £55,000 DOE Are you an experienced Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineer able to work on the DFM of consumer products? Are you looking for a fully autonomous role where you can influence business decisions within a start-up company? My client are a start-up company looking to enter the consumer market. Their product is subject to widespread attention from investors and future clients and they are now looking to build a team to take the product from prototypes to a fully working, marketable product. The company has received funding and need candidates who can work on their own initiative, think outside the box and to be motivated by the challenges a new product can bring. They will offer on the job training in a wide range of areas which you might not experience within a larger, well established company, with the opportunity to have a real input in key decisions making processes. You will need to be proficient in Solidworks, have experience taking consumer products from early proof of concept level through to technical demonstrations so the ability to present would be a huge advantage. You will also need experience of Sheet metal DFM.
