Overview
My client is an Educational establishment who are looking to recruit a new Head of Finance - a pivotal role in the Finance Team. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Head of Finance is responsible for ensuring the Finance Department provides a high-quality service to the organisation, budget holders and other staff and students across the College providing timely, accurate and relevant information, reports and financial advice. You will also be expected to influence and shape financial decisions in the College and maximise business opportunities in order to deliver an efficient and effective service and ultimately an excellent student experience To succeed in this role, it is essential you will: Be a qualified accountant / qualified by experience with substantial experience in financial and management accounting Have experience of managing a small finance team and working with people from a wide range of backgrounds, both financial and non-financial, within an organisation Have excellent knowledge and understanding of financial strategies, systems, statutory requirements and procedures Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to use your own initiative and make informed decisions with limited supervision
