Overview
Based in York, this highly regarded firm has an exciting opportunity for a defendant EL/PL insurance paralegal or legal executive to join its Public Sector Team. The team provides expert legal services to local authority clients on a broad range of matters from highways claims to subsidence, to social care, stress and harassment claims. The role will involve handling a caseload of predominantly litigated small claim and fast track files, whilst also providing support to other fee earners with complex/multi-track claims as required. Cases managed will range from highways claims to a variety of employers liability and public liability related matters. The successful candidate will have experience managing a caseload within a similar insurance based role, ideally on a defendant basis. Whilst highways experience specifically is not essential, applicants must be experienced in managing litigated files. Prior work on a fixed fee basis would be an advantage. Quality of service is at the heart of everything this firm does and candidates must, therefore, have exceptional client service skills, along with the ability to prioritise effectively and maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail within a busy role.
