Position: Solution Architect (FTSE100 client) Location: Central London, (zone 1) Start date: asap Role type: Fixed Term Contract Duration: 12 months FTC Salary: £110-120K 15% pension 10-15% bonus medical & life assurance 25 days holiday The Client Our client is an award winning & thriving International Plc based in Central London who are undergoing a major finance transformation programme and require a Solution Architect with finance exposure, ERP & MDM knowledge. Based in their prestigious HQ this exciting opportunity requires candidates from a Plc/Blue-chip background The Role as Solution Architect The client is seeking a Solution Architect is to lead the technical design of all the systems in scope of the programme (ERP/MDM). This includes a suite of new tools which will be implemented through the programme as well as a suite of legacy tools and applications to which integration will be implemented. Duties include; Architecture decisions support both business and Technology requirements and strategy, and that architectures delivered (logical and physical) are aligned with our architecture standards and principles. Follow the internal governance processes to get key architectural decisions signed off by the Technology Architecture Review Board. This role will work with other key architects across the organisation to ensure alignment, coordination and collaboration. Review and understand the As-Is architectures and define the To-Be strategy and be instrumental in ensuring this is delivered in line with the project timelines and scope. Where solutions have not yet been selected, be accountable for solution evaluation and selection decisions. You will be a key member of the project team devising business cases, estimates and forecasting. Gather requirements and specifications from stakeholders to gain a complete sense of expectations and limitations. Identify potential issues between systems and business specifications and propose new solutions to work around these limitations. Determine the project’s scope before developers begin any major work. The Solution Architect Candidate The client is seeking somebody who is dynamic, engaging, has strong stakeholder management skills, is self-motivated and can work independently. In addition to excellent communication skills (written/verbal), you must have gravitas and be able to demonstrate the following: Experience implementing and maintaining solution architectures under any formal framework for their domain of architecture. Technical knowledge and experience deploying solutions with large data sets on cloud platforms. Experience as a Solution Architect on large ERP, MDM projects. Strong Technical Literacy – ideally with a computer science degree or equivalent experience. Analytical Assessment skills. Experience in facilitation of workshops and meetings gathering requirements through analysis and assessment. Experience of delivering technology and process-based change in both waterfall and agile environments. Ability to manage complexity while having a pragmatic, flexible approach. Excellent interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with stakeholders at all levels. An understanding of best practices and standards.
