Overview

Juice Recruitment is thrilled to be supporting a professional accountancy practice in East Bristol with their search for a Senior Accountant. This is an exciting, full-time, permanent role and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients to deliver a comprehensive, professional and client focused service. The role offers scope to progress into management, for the right candidate, as the practice continues to experience year on year growth. You will be responsible for assisting the accounts managers and directors to provide a complete service to clients, getting to know their personal financial situation as well as their business, to give tailored and comprehensive advice. Key duties will involve: Preparation of year-end financial statements Preparation of corporation tax and general business tax computations Liaising with clients, both face to face and over the phone Preparation and review of quarterly VAT returns and ensuring that deadlines are met Supporting the trainee accountants Advising clients with their bookkeeping requirements As the ideal candidate, you will be an experienced Accountant with strong recent experience in practice, perhaps looking to take on more responsibilities. Ideally you will be ACCA qualified, however, we will consider those qualified by experience. You will be an excellent communicator who enjoys client contact and has a strong work ethic. You will also have excellent Excel skills and experience of using Sage and Digita Accounts Production would be preferred, although not essential. Our client is offering an excellent benefits package, including a starting salary of £32,000 to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience), annual performance and salary review, free parking, pension scheme, regular individualised CPD paid for and arranged by the firm, clear career progression and flexible working hours, 37.5 hour-week.
