Senior Game Data Analyst
Overview
Warner Bros. Games are on the lookout for an experienced Data Analyst who is ready to bootstrap the analytics process at a new exciting mobile game studio based in Manchester. This is a contract position for initially 12 months and successful applicants will ideally be able to start in April. The ideal candidate has significant experience with mobile game publishing and development, can design and build efficient and valuable data assets, and work with the studio team to develop analytics culture and process. The candidate will execute their mission in collaboration with publishing teams, and as part of a larger central analytics strategy. Key Responsibilities • Define data collection requirements and analytics strategy for the game and studio • Develop data-informed culture at the studio • Model raw data into easy-to-use models • Analyze collected data to efficiently create insightful visualisations • Communicate results the development team to demonstrably improve decision-making and product • Follow up decisions after design changes have been implemented to validate the desired increase in game quality or development efficiency • Always advance the state of the art for analytics at the studio Technical Requirements • Expert knowledge of SQL and database technology • Expert intuition in data exploration and analysis • Excellent knowledge of Looker or similar visualization tools and information presentation • Expert at cleaning and modelling data for analysis, and visualizing results • Experience in machine learning an asset • Experience in product management an asset Experience & Personality Requirements • Experience in mobile game publishing or development • Excellent understanding of the mobile game / free-to-play business • Experience working with game designers and producer to facilitate product decisions • Ability to work independently and strive for very high quality without supervision • Take responsibility for own report quality and timeline commitments • Ability to build and maintain close relationships across all disciplines and seniorities • Proven effective communicator in person and remotely WB Games and Resource Solutions are committed to building a culturally diverse workforce and therefore are committed to equality of opportunity and welcome applications from individuals, regardless of their background.
