Overview

Job Summary: Responsible for finance functions for TVCCI and any other associated activities. Managing day to day and supporting the development of the Finance Assistant. Line management for IT & Facilities and day to day responsibility for HR support. Principle Objectives: Maintaining accounting records for TVCC, completing each months transactions, including bank and inter-company reconciliation’s by month 8 working days Operate payroll and pay TVCC staff on or before 23rd of each month Produce monthly accounts to trial balance including balance sheet by month end 8 working days Produce accounting management information for budget holders Deal with investigations (e.g. VAT Inspections) with the support of Auditors Complete draft VAT returns Manage financial risks and maintain insurance cover Participate in senior management decisions and development of strategy Manage bank accounts and short term cash flow to mandate, ensuring the integrity of all transactions and maximising interest benefit while minimising banking costs Pay genuine suppliers within usual trade terms Manage sales and membership ledgers to maximise cash flow and minimise bad debt Communicate and produce plan and forecast summaries Produce and organise forecasts, plan at department level Produce draft monthly Management Accounts by month end 10 working days Maintain fixed asset register Manage departmental staff to achieve an efficient, effective, trained and well motivated team Continuously develop the departments systems and operating procedures and ensure their compliance with the company’s quality standards Deal with routine accounting queries from staff and 3rd parties Supporting the CEO in developing HR related processes Supporting the senior management team in dealing with HR related matters Maintaining employee files and the HR filing system Company compensation and benefits administration and recordkeeping; Employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health reporting;
