You will be responsible for assisting clients customer base by providing IT scientific support. The successful candidate should possess the passion and experience to deliver exceptional next generation application and hardware support both on- site and remotely. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a blood sciences laboratory organised, possess good time management, be a great team player and be personable within their approach. Main responsibilities Travel will be involved throughout the UK & Ireland in order to perform routine technical support and hardware installations Demonstrate exceptional general IT technical and problem-solving skills within a Microsoft Windows desktop and server environment Read and understand technical and/or scientific literature and implement this information within the application to improve the effectiveness of the system Installation Tasks include Hardware/visualisation, configuration and IT site Surveys Support product Hotline - First and Second level remote support Support Projects and continual development of new innovative solutions Support with New product development Engage in telephone support Administer and deliver customer training courses in -house and in laboratory Essential Qualifications and Knowledge Full driving licence TCP/IP awareness Experience of Remote IT Support Experience working within a blood sciences laboratory Customer Focus Reading and understanding of scientific and/or technical documentation Excellent communication and negotiation skills Experience with IT troubleshooting, Event Viewer, Management Console An awareness of data security requirements and good working practice Desirable Call Centre Support Experience Training in troubleshooting and installing virtual environments (VMWare / Hyper-V) Experience of Laboratory IT systems Microsoft / CompTIA Certification BSc (Hons) degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent Training Qualifications Knowledge or awareness of DATTO and Linux/Unix operating systems Microsoft Operating Systems troubleshooting Hardware deployment Services
