Overview
The role of the Operations Director will drive strategy and performance across the whole team by supporting and delivering the strategic vision of The Client and Managing Agent. You will create simple and transparent processes encompassing all long-term objectives. You will embed these processes and effective working practices through behavioural changes and collaboration with all team members. They will create tangible results through dashboards and measurable outputs that drive performance and improvement and increase ownership and accountability. They will ensure that compliance is absolute across the instruction and that procurement and financial practices are always adopted and adhered too. The Operations Director / Head of Facilities This role will also take on the management of the technical team and administrative members and drive improvement and innovation of systems. The right person will drive the team to meet client targets regarding Service Partner Management Invoicing, Energy and Carbon reduction as well as leading all external service provisions and consultancies. This will afford a common approach steeped in excellence and partnership in order to achieve a truly one-team approach with customer service at its core. The Operations Director / Head of Facilities is principally responsible for implementing and managing the high standard of operational services in Engineering, Building Fabric, Vertical Transportation, Security, Horizontal and Vertical Cleaning, Reception, Logistics and financial standards (Invoicing & Purchase order) required across the client portfolio, providing an exceptional standard of service that is consistent, seamless, efficient and without interruption to ensure the Customers and their visitors can focus on their core business. Ensures that the service partners and consultancies providing the service perform as a cohesive team reflecting the vision and ambition of the client The role requires the effective management of the service partners to provide the services within the scope, within budget and in accordance with their contractual obligations and key performance indicators. Ensure that compliance and finance management is maintained both statutorily and organisationally ensuring that policy and legislation are followed in accordance with all required standards. They will drive the company vision, values and strategic goals and will be responsible for measuring and driving performance to expected levels and standards. Ensure that policies and procedures are fit-for-purpose and that services are delivered and developed in accordance with the standards defined by the client. The successful candidate will have a relevant Degree and experience working at a senior level in Operations or Facilities Management, ideally working for a commercial Managing Agent or from an investor FM viewpoint. Experience in change management and operational transition planning. Ability to think laterally, accommodate change, innovation and new ideas, and most importantly, to prioritise work Having the personal drive, commitment, and dedication to ensure that exceptional service levels are always delivered consistently Experience and appreciation of the task involved in developing and implementing procedures, standards and guides for operational excellence on a large scale Excellent IT skills to assist in the development of electronic management tools and general working knowledge of Microsoft Office Experience of operational facilities management and managing services to meet KPIs Proven knowledge of technical services, sustainability and energy management Proven knowledge of building regulations, legislation compliance and best working practice Financial acumen to manage budgets and contract costs Practiced in writing effective The role of the Operations Director / Head of Facilities will drive strategy and performance across the whole team by supporting and delivering the strategic vision of The Client and Managing Agent.
