This is a teaching position but Ravensbourne supports staff research development. You will be given the opportunity to explore this further on appointment. We are looking to strengthen our team with the following appointment: Ravensbourne is looking to recruit a dynamic, innovative and future thinking Course Leader to join our BA Hons in Fashion Promotion Course. You will be joining a forward-thinking fashion department with new leadership, ambition and drive. With an ethos of multi-disciplinary industry approach enabled through open access and collaborative aspirations between the film, photography and our graphics departments. You will have direct experience in one or more of the areas of fashion promotion including image making, styling, art direction, ethical fashion, marketing, Social media, PR and casting, fashion photography and film, merchandising with an emphasis on future proofing and digital delivery. Extensive knowledge of quality management of promotion, digital programming, showcasing, innovation and testing, global trends and London’s vibrant fashion scene. Ideally you will have experience of promotion should include working knowledge and understanding of forecasting, event / project planning, report analysis, fashion management strategies, contemporary creative networks and digital three-dimensional imaging. The successful candidate will lead the team in shaping, developing, repositioning and creating a dynamic and industry facing course with innovation and leadership at its core. He/she will have a first degree or post-graduate qualification in a relevant subject, and should be able to demonstrate good, recent professional knowledge and experience (both industry and academic) in the areas outlined. The ability to design inventive teaching and learning strategies that bring these career roles to life will be essential. The candidate will possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to engage students directly with their chosen industry and strong leadership and management skills to lead a team will be essential.
