Overview
Tax Manager Based in Watford, Hertfordshire, our client is a global leader in its field with a huge presence and an instantly recognisable name. They're in the market for a Senior Tax Manager to join the business on a permanent basis. This job would suit an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant who will provide support to the Head of Tax and is responsible for running the daily tax affairs of the Group and ensuring compliance obligations are met. This company is a market leader within their field, working with a range of suppliers around the world with an exciting future. The successful individual will have experience in the preparation of tax disclosures under IFRS and FRS101 with excellent attention to detail. You will understand the wider principles of Statutory Reporting, Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing and Direct Taxes, International Corporate Tax and financial reporting. You will also have the ability to work independently and as part of a team and show the capability to lead changing projects. The candidate should have excellent business and financial acumen with financial modelling and high levels of competence using Excel. Duties will include: Prepare and submit corporation tax returns and ensure that all entities comply with local laws Prepare tax disclosures for the consolidated group accounts based on IFRS for full year and interim periods, based on FRS101 for the subsidiary statutory accounts Forecast corporation tax position and manage payments Ensure compliance with senior accounting officer and corporate interest restriction rules Assist the Head of Tax, FP&A & Treasury in improving and strengthening tax processes Monitor intergroup transactions to take transfer pricing rules into consideration Monitor tax risks and potential tax issues and manage tax investigations or audits Act as a focal point for the Tax Department and tax consultants Support various departments within the Global Brand on tax matters Manage international taxation and withholding taxes Manage ad hoc tax projects as they arise Assist with employment tax issues including the annual employment related security returns Manage overseas payroll taxes and ensure that all entities comply with local laws For more information about this role or any other Tax Manager jobs in Hertfordshire, please contact me in confidence or visit our website www.mrkassociates.co.uk Every application will receive a response as this is the recognised working practice at MRK Associates.
