Overview

Your new role This role will involve you managing and leading change projects in line with the council's priorities. Creating strong relationships with internal stakeholders and the senior management team will be a key part of the role. You will be required to work with external stakeholders through networking which will expose yourself to new connections and ideas. You will lead in five core functions of the team: public affairs and partnerships, corporate transformation, corporate strategy, performance and learning and design and innovation. What you'll need to succeed Experience working in Local Government as a change manager Experience of designing and implementing effective strategies. Experience of leading or managing change projects. Strong verbal and written communication skills, that are convincing, persuasive and adaptable to a range of audiences. Ability to lead the planning and delivery of large, complex projects - ensuring effective delivery of goals to agreed timescales. Knowledge and awareness of local government finances, commercial issues and business case development.
