Overview
Howarth Morris have an exciting Management Accountant opportunity for a global manufacturing business in Skelmersdale. This is a fantastic opportunity with a clear route of progression to Finance Manager in the next 2-3 years. The core remit of this role will be to support the Finance Manager in the production of monthly management accounts and annual financial accounts, working closely with key areas of the business developing strong working relationships through effective business partnering with key input into commercial decision making. This role would suit and ambitious Part Qualified/Finalist level CIMA/ACCA/ACA studier looking for a business committed to investing in their career development. Key Responsibilities - Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts to strict deadlines - Month end journals; depreciation, payroll, accruals and prepayments - Balance sheet and gross profit reconciliations with commentary - Profit & Loss variance analysis. - Cashflow forecasting - Maintain fixed asset register - Intercompany recharges; reconcile intercompany accounts - Quarterly VAT returns - Bank reconciliations - Review and improve existing processes to improve reporting - communicate at all levels, build relationships with non-finance staff - Prepare year end accounts and assist with audit Candidate Requirements - CIMA, ACCA or ACA Part Qualified - Previous experience in a Management/Financial Accountant role - Solid Finance background - Good analytical proficiency - Advanced Excel skills Howarth Morris A leading North West based Finance and HR Recruitment Consultancy.
