Now is your chance… The Finance Operations team ensures our bank accounts are reconciled to the Oracle general ledger on a daily basis and that aged items are kept to the minimum. A high performing, high profile team, we work collaboratively with various Finance stakeholders to ensure that the bank accounts are as clean as possible. Dedicated and driven, we highlight any potential issues quickly and see them through to their resolution. Project wise, we are currently implementing the automation of our reconciliations. Moving away from the use of Excel, we encourage an environment where you may learn new systems and suggest new ideas. You will report into the Head of Bank Reconciliations, who will be your line manager and responsible for things like performance review meetings, 1-1s and development conversations. What would your day look like? The role of Accounts Assistant - Bank Reconciliations is really important to us. You will be responsible for Bank Reconciliations, journal postings and matching transactions in the General Ledger: Bank Reconciliations Compile accurate and timely bank reconciliations according to agreed frequencies and deadlines Investigate and resolve any differences identified on bank reconciliations in a timely manner Journals Compile accurate and timely journals on a daily basis Uploading journals to the Bank's General Ledger (Oracle) Other Matching transactions between the Bank and General Ledger in the Bank Reconciliation software, AutoRek Governance and Controls Comply with all current regulatory and other training required for the role What do we expect of you? Excel at intermediate level, confident using VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, Pivot tables in order to manipulate sources of data Good working knowledge of Journals and Bank Reconciliations Ability to understand and interact within the wider Finance team Ability to analyse and interpret information as required Strong communication skills and ability to develop working relationships with colleagues across the business A high level of energy and engagement across the business to promote the Bank Reconciliations team What can you expect of us?
