Overview
Support Worker Mental Health Challenging Behaviour Hoop Recruitment are looking for support workers to work in the Newport area, supporting adults (18-65) with degenerative diseases, acquired brain injury and challenging behaviour. The role will comprise of elements of personal care, promoting independence and providing support in a residential setting. Benefits: Support to undertake further qualification i.e. QCF/NVQ level 2,3,4 Competitive annual leave entitlement Contributory pension scheme Paid training Time and a half overtime rate Monthly bonuses available Responsibilities: Carry out and the implementation of care plans Support clients with daily activities, i.e. personal care, cooking, cleaning, etc. Effectively communicate with all service users Promote independence Adopt creative approaches to problem solving and challenging behaviour Calm and collected in pressurised situations Requirements: Previous experience as a support worker within a care environment Ideally qualified to level 2 or 3 in health and social care (not essential) Able to work a shift pattern on a rolling rota (days and nights) Flexibility with working hours Driving licence (not essential) Excellent communication skills To apply for this opportunity, Contact Leanne McEwen at Hoop Recruitment - or
