Marine Underwriting Assistant - Lloyd's Syndicate London £27,000 to £29,000 Our client, an established and highly regarded Lloyd's syndicate, is currently looking for an Underwriting Assistant. The successful candidate will assist Underwriters with the implementation and monitoring of the Business Plan in respect of the Marine Hull & Liability Underwriting division. Responsibilities Entry of underwriting risk data into underwriting system, including amending and completing entries, and setting up new risks. Monitoring reports for incomplete risks and error items, then correcting and/or chasing Underwriters or Brokers for information. Identifying and implementing ways to improve the quality and performance of the account. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and Lloyd’s requirements. Entry of bordereaux, management of monthly or quarterly bordereaux reporting, and chasing Brokers and/or coverholders for outstanding information. Assisting the team with other reporting, preparation for meetings and general administrative tasks. Requirements Previous insurance experience, whether work experience or paid employment, is essential. Experience within the London Market is preferred. Prospective candidates will need to be a recent Graduate, with either a Degree or excellent A Level results. Candidates must also possess excellent analytical and communication skills.
