Spearhead the worldwide sourcing of exceptional and unique new suppliers who can provide the highest quality Tea. Ensure that quality is at the forefront of all new supplier selection with a focus on sustainability and ethical sourcing. · Manage on-going relationships with suppliers to improve performance, identify cost and product development opportunities. Manage the quality assurance process through sampling and testing to ensure a consistent and optimum level of quality. Develop an extensive product and technical expertise in tea being sourced as well as the wider market. Create a reliable, motivated supplier roster with the ability to supply premium materials in varying size batches Manage supply issues and problems with suppliers/ manufacturers ensuring all parties are aware of the supply road map. Manage supplier reviews, selection and management of performance Manage supplier reporting & analysis on performance and cost saving C onduct regular market reports and analysis to ensure optimum supplier selection Take responsibility for supplier quality compliance and improvement As a successful SME going through sustained growth it is essential that the buyer is a hugely proactive individual who will lead from the front and provide the following experience – K nowledge and experience of sourcing high-quality tea from around the world. Can demonstrate a high-level palate in tea tasting and selection Excellent overall knowledge of tea and herbal infusions Excellent knowledge of sourcing, managing and negotiating with new suppliers Pedigree of managing contract negotiations between new and existing suppliers. Experience within quality assurance would be advantageous Superb communication and stakeholder management skills Excellent number cruncher and experience with excel & ERP systems Hugely proactive individual, able to think outside the box under pressure Ideally you have experience of working within a start-up or fast growth SME If you match all the above criteria and you are excited by the prospect of working with one of the most dynamic and exciting companies in the UK right now, then please apply.
