Overview
IT manager / hands on Hands on IT Manager looking for an exciting new challenge where you can contribute to the companies IT architecture? A leading FintTech company is currently on the look for a hands on IT manager to join a high performing team. This role will not have any reporting lines. The role will be 60% project focused with 40% BAU. This is a key role in developing, maintaining and continuously improving internal IT systems. The role will involve Assisting 1st line in providing a high level of service to internal users. Delivering a high quality service to internal users by resolving 2nd line requests and incidents. Working together with 3rd line and infrastructure team on high profile requests and incidents. Monitoring, maintaining and developing internal infrastructure Maintaining DR plans and assisting in failover tests Internal infrastructure project ownership and delivery Maintaining a high awareness of information security requirements/concerns and complying with ISO27001 policies and processes The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge and proven experience in the following areas Deploying and managing Active Directory Deploying and managing MS Windows Server Cisco Networking Good knowledge of fundamentals of TCP/IP Ethernet networks Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Proven ability to collaboratively pursue issue resolution and push for short term and permanent solutions to ongoing problems; Understanding of fundamental computer architecture and operating system concepts; Excellent knowledge and practical experience of Windows environments; Deploying and managing iSCSI or/ And FC SAN solutions Experince using backup systems and architecture (NetBackup), SQL Server, SharePoint Automation using scripting and DevOps tooling Practical experience of Powershell or shell scripting Practical experience of Virtualisation platforms (VMware ESXi); A degree in a technical, scientific or engineering discipline (2:1 or above) and/or relevant experience; Salary/benefits: £55000-£65000 with a 15-25% bonus
