Due to high demand the Sommelier team is adding to the team Similar to other tradition private members clubs there is a busy rooms (Hotel) trade with 40 as well as their; 2 Bars Brasserie Dining Room Lounge Billiards Rooms 2 private Rooms 2 Events Rooms This would be an ideal role for someone with at least TWO years Junior / Assistant / Deputy Sommelier experience within either; quality restaurant, 4-star deluxe or five star hotel or of course a private members club. Job Description Mainly working in the main dinning room, we are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate candidate to join the front of house team as an assistant Sommelier. The ideal candidate • Passionate about wine and keen to learn and develop new skills • Previous experience of working as a Wine Waiter or Waiter • Experience in a fine dining environment would be an advantage • Exceptional attention to details • Fluent in English with the ability to communicate confidently • you must have a can-do attitude and be a hard worker, but also be friendly and willing to work aspart of a team • Availability to work full-time (Monday to Friday with some weekends) What we need • Proof of eligibility to work in the United Kingdom • WSET Level 2 or above Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Setting the restaurant for lunch and dinner as necessary, including mise en place and prep for service as required • Recommending wines during service.
