Little Gems Country Dining are looking for a Chef de Partie for The Swan Inn, a beautiful 13th century thatched country pub & restaurant, which has undoubtedly changed over the years, yet retains a wealth of original features & oozes a rustic, rural charm. Our orchard beer garden is ready for summer & is the jewel in our crown The Old Queens Head is a delightful country pub & restaurant that’s full of charm, character and plenty of friendly faces. All are welcome in our bar area – even your beloved pooch We have a stylish but cosy, two-level dining room, a relaxed and informal bar area with a roaring log fire for the chilly months, and our lovely garden and terrace overlooking the village church is the perfect spot for those warmer days when the sun comes out to play. In our kitchens, our Head Chefs concentrate on providing home cooked menus with specials menus that change every day. Provenance, sustainability and sourcing British food is important to us, and we keep our dishes simple and not over presented. We are looking for an enthusiastic chef de partie at The Old Queens Head that has a hunger to produce high quality food and the drive to succeed in the hospitality industry. The role: This position is for someone who can support the kitchen team. You will be operating as an assistant to the senior chefs, preparing food and running/maintain a section during service. We are looking for an individual who can thrive in a busy kitchen, keeping focus on the job in hand, whilst always retaining the back house disciplines and standards. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a professional kitchen environment, be a team player, and have a passion for food. There is the opportunity for you to give your input into developing the daily specials. Everyone in our kitchens has a voice and we always like to hear your voice.
