The Role of the Deputy Manager: • To actively participate with the multidisciplinary team in formulating care plans and utilising appropriate assessments • Administering medication and checking preparations in accordance with company policy and procedures and NMC guidelines • Providing assistance and clinical leadership in the induction/development and supervision of new and junior staff • Creating and managing staff rotas • Regularly reviewing risk factors and working in conjunction with other health professionals to modify care plans as appropriate • Liaising effectively with all actively involved in the care process, including carers, nurses and relatives, aspiring to provide an effective, seamless and integrated service to patients/residents • Deputising in running the home in the home managers absence • Develop relationships with key members of the community, to help raise the home`s profile and brand Skills/Qualifications required of the Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager: • A Registered Nurse with current NMC registration • 5 years` experience as a RN and 3 years leading nursing care teams in the care of the elderly • Chronic disease management and dementia care • Knowledge of all frameworks in relation to running a care home • Flexible and adaptable, well organised and able to manage time and workload effectively in line with the needs of the service • Person centred, showing empathy with a desire to make a difference • Motivated with the desire to expand your professional development and support organisational change • Able to provide demonstrable experience of working in elderly care If you would like to apply or find out more, please give Nadia at Amber Mace a call on 01904 571 187 or send an up to date CV to nadiaambermace.com.
