Overview

Barton Social Care Staffing are working on behalf of well-established and respected provider of residential care for children and young people. Due to the previous Deputy manager being promoted to Manager the company are looking to recruit a deputy manager to help support the home. In return the company are offering a great salary of £27250 rising to £28000 upon completion of probation. The organisation is highly committed to providing outstanding outcomes for the young people they care for, they have 5 homes in Surrey and West Sussex, each home is set in a rural location, so a driving licence is essential. Deputy manager Role duties will include - Creating a warm and caring environment for children who live with us in our various residential settings. To offer guidance and support to staff while on shift, particularly when dealing with incidents. To complete regular quality audits within the home and offer advice and supervision to staff members on the improvement to care practices and processes in consultation with line manager. Providing support to children who may have been subject to abuse, neglect or other issues that may impact on their ability to develop as positive young citizens. Promoting the skills required to lead productive adult lives once the children we look after leave care. We are looking for candidates who are - From various walks of life, backgrounds, ages and ethnicities (We value diversity in the workforce) Honest, trustworthy and reliable and who want to make a difference to a young persons life. Must have previous experience of working in a similar setting, working with childrens and young people up to the age of 25, ideally with a level 3 diploma in residential care. Over 24 years old and can complete shift work 730-1500 and 1430-2300 The role involves night sleep duties Person Specification: You will have strong social care experience and a desire and passion for supporting young people with complex social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. We are looking for staff who are positive and sociable and forward thinking.
