Overview

Our client is a leading Manufacturer and distributor and due to expansion they are looking for an experienced Production Planner to come and join the team. Reporting to the Production Manager you will be responsible for the planning and preparation of production schedules for manufacture of industrial or commercial products within the Kirkby Operation. You will support the manufacturing processes within the unit ensuring all products are adhering to delivery and production schedules for Retail and Professional channels. Some of your responsibilities will include: Analyses production specifications and plant capacity data and calculates labour loading for production. Plans and schedules workflow for each Dept and operation according previously established manufacturing lead times. Liaises with Department Supervisors to determine status of assigned projects. Review schedules on a daily basis and alters were appropriate against production needs. Prepares production reports. Assist with any other production related reporting systems. Lead and deliver accurate Month End/Year End packaging stock takes. Liaising with site Finance on adding and removal of BOM’s. Deliver new Product Launch Documents, covering all aspects of Production. Setting of Daily Raw Material Requirements. Setting of Daily Packaging Requirements. Additional Responsibilities Arranging stock movements. Liaising with warehouse controller for stock movements on packaging. Set up of new product codes for System. Set up of new Labels. Control Consumables stock recording. Set up of Mixing Documents and controlling BOM’s. Ensure quarterly Stock checks are carried out successfully and accurately. Complete status reports for production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory. Data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand. Who you are: Previous experience as a Production Planner, working on Oracle, adding BOM’s onto management systems, stock controlling will be an advantage. Understanding of product coding. Understands the business environment in which the Company operates and considers the wider impact of their decisions and actions on other parts of the operation. Cost saving measures to support long term strategy of the business. Project Management tools. Project control and costing techniques / Cost efficiencies. Strong proficiency in Microsoft word and Excel.
