Overview

Role Overview We are looking to employ a proactive Materials Planner, who demonstrates pride in their attention to detail. The role's primary objective is to ensure the on-time supply of purchased and in-house manufactured parts to support the manufacturing plan. If it becomes evident the plan may not be met, early identification and escalation to stakeholders is required. Job Description The working day may be within a cleanroom, manufacturing area, or office environment. Daily activities include the review, release and maintenance of work orders and subcontracted operations. If required, faulty parts will be prepared for return to suppliers. Material Planners communicate across a variety of functions. Clear written and verbal communication is essential. The ability to organise, plan and prioritise is required. There will be occasions where it is necessary to work under pressure. Key Responsibility Areas Review, release and maintenance of work orders through the MRP system (SAP) Ensure purchased and manufactured are available when required to support the manufacturing plan Identify when delays will impact the manufacturing plan, and communicate recovery to stakeholders Expedite purchased and manufactured parts Report on the achievability to meet demand Attend and contribute to progress reviews Manage the return of faulty parts to vendors and their receipt back to Leonardo Deliver parts kits to manufacturing areas Communication across a variety of functions, both written and verbal Generate internal documentation for product delivery Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required Understanding of the fundamentals of MRP Competent user of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint Working knowledge and experience in SAP GCSE grade A-C in Maths and English Efficient organising of own workload Good written and verbal communicator Very good attention to detail and data accuracy
