An excellent opportunity to join the Public Sector as an Assistant Accountant. This varied role is based within the accounts team in Wakefield City Centre. Client Details Page Personnel are working with a Public Sector organisation during a period of growth within their accounts department. We are looking for a number of candidates to join the organisation, to be based from their office in central Wakefield. Description Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to, playing a vital role within financial management and will provide timely business focused and professional advice and support on a range of financial issues to the organisations senior managers and budget holders focusing on enabling service delivery and compliance with financial procedures and regulations. Profile Candidates wishing to apply to the role should have: Previously worked in a similar role Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal A good systems knowledge and computer literacy AAT qualification or be studying towards ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA/etc. Previously worked in the public sector (desirable, not essential) Job Offer The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary apply for study support annual leave 25 days plus bank holidays flexi-time pension contribution 8% employee and 16% employer subsidised parking walking distance of Wakefield Westgate.
