Overview

Badenoch and Clark are recruiting on behalf of a well-established law firm who specialise in Professional Negligence and Personal Injury claims. The office is based in North Shields and parking is available. As a Paralegal/Junior Fee Earner you will be advising on cases of Professional Negligence, including mis-sold financial products. Responsibilities will include: Deal with all aspects of the case from inception through to settlement. Advising clients on the law and regulations concerning miss-sold financial products Checking legal documents for quality, consistency and content Reviewing and negotiating settlement offers Drafting and filing legal documents and correspondence, including witness statements Reviewing and reporting on claims, assisting in administrative tasks Working to deadlines and coordinating calendars Maintaining communication with clients and informing them of updates and case progress Utilising Case Management software to progress cases, preferably Proclaim but this is not essential Achieve and exceed various targets set in relation to WIP, fee income, settlements, closures Competency Requirements 12 months experience working within a legal environment (preferred) Experience within claims handling and financial litigation (preferred) An attentive eye to detail, with strong writing, numerical and communication skills Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment For more details please contact Paige Stephens.
