Insight Manager, Central Government, 6 month FTC, £50,000 Your new company Insight Manager, Central Government, 6 month FTC, Competitive Salary Your new role This person will support the Senior Insight Manager with insight projects across a range of financial wellbeing topics. They will lead and support insight projects across all areas of money and pensions. The work will include using existing data and research studies to support the UK Strategy for Financial Wellbeing challenge groups by summarising, analysing and presenting data to key audiences such as internal stakeholders and challenge group members. This person will take full ownership of key strategic research projects in particular leading work supporting challenge groups set up for the delivery of the UK Strategy for Financial Wellbeing. They may also support on other projects from commissioning and ongoing project management to final delivery, analysis and presentation to senior stakeholders. This person will build and maintain a strong network of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the insight agenda is delivered effectively. They will also develop and maintain strong relationships with partner research agencies. What you'll need to succeed Working with the Challenge Groups to deliver insight into the heart of the delivery plans for the UK Strategy for Financial Wellbeing. Summarising and presenting in compelling ways new and existing qualitative and quantitative insights to the Challenge groups. Effective management of internal senior stakeholders and developing relationships with external stakeholders and subject matter experts, to identify evidence gaps and insight opportunities. Effective day to day management and delivery of research projects to time and budget and resolving any issues or problems in a timely way, flagging issues where appropriate. Management of research agency relationships to deliver high quality projects, including ensuring that research materials (e.g. questionnaires, discussion guides) and deliverables (e.g. presentations, data tables) are of a high quality and meet project and business objectives. Working with partner agencies to deliver robust, insightful and attractive deliverables (both Power Point presentations and written reports) that tell a compelling story - and presenting these stories to senior internal stakeholders and answer the business objectives. Developing a thorough understanding of financial wellbeing, and other areas within money guidance and pensions. Expert at using analytical and influencing skills to present complex information and answer questions from different audiences (e.g. senior management, policy makers and industry groups). Demonstrable experience in using consumer and market insights (both qualitative and quantitative) to tell a compelling and insightful story, in a range of formats including PowerPoint and written reports. Relevant experience working in market research (either agency-side and/or client-side) commissioning or carrying out research and insight. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing a range of research projects including ongoing tracking projects, as well as ad hoc qualitative and quantitative studies. Deep knowledge and demonstrable practical application of conducting and/or managing both qualitative and quantitative research projects. Proficient in research design, development of discussion guides and questionnaires, managing fieldwork, analysis, and reporting. Demonstrable experience of managing third party agencies and/or internal operations departments effectively. Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (e.g. creating formulas, lookups and references, pivot tables etc) and experience using SPSS. Experience in producing research and insight that informs strategic commissioning decisions. Understanding of, or experience of working in financial capability related fields.
