This exceptionally professional and employee focused organisation currently has an opportunity for a qualified accountant to join them as a Head of Accounting & Reporting based at their Croydon Head Office and main duties & responsibilities appear below:- Responsible for all aspects of Accounting, Tax and Treasury for UK and Ireland business units Lead the Accounting function teams. In charge of IFRS reporting to Group and other Regulatory bodies. Implement new and efficient accounting processes and to enhance and monitor existing financial accounting processes; ensure efficiency and accuracy of all accounting and financial reporting for local and Group internal clients. Statutory and Group financial reporting Implementation of Finance accounting structure and financial reportable data, including chart of accounts, cost centre and local accounting attributes, also ensuring compliance with Group Accounting and IFRS in conjunction with Head of Planning and Controlling. Implementation and maintenance of financial accounting controls and processes, and continual review, improvements and documentation of those processes. Balance sheet accounting Reviewing, documenting and improving associated controls and processes to achieve optimised risk rating. Manage Inter-company accounting and reconciliations Oversee external year end audits and to act as primary liaison with both internal and external auditors along with FD. Trial balance, cost centre allocation and connected financial data Establish and monitor on an ongoing basis KPI and targets for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger to support business strategy and values and to optimise efficiency and productivity of the Accounting teams. Tax Compliance VAT, IPT and Insurance levy tax compliance and tax processes / reporting. Treasury -preparation of monthly and annual cash-flow analysis and forecasts. Monthly reporting to Group on investments, cash and assets including Cash Exposure and IDS. Supporting the budget and forecast computation process including; reporting, SAP format preparation and Agresso uploading in conjunction with Head of Planning and Controlling. Support Finance Department, Commercial Finance and other department managers by producing relevant and timely financial reporting and management information, and query investigation in a timely manner. Annual staff appraisals and regular objective review meetings for the Accounting teams providing support and staff development. Applications for this unique role are especially invited from candidates ideally educated to degree standard who are ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified . You will have c10 years directly relevant financial accounting experience & sound understanding of integrated accounting systems and have managed finance teams. A high level of system skills is also required to include MS Excel.
