Sopra Banking Software has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Product Owner to join our expanding team operating out of our Durham, Sheffield, and London offices. As a Product Owner, you will gain and continuously increase your product knowledge, capture requirements effectively and document them through Epics and User stories, communicate and present requirements to development/testing teams, maintain product backlog and liaise and communicate clearly with all internal and external stakeholders during deliverables. We are looking for an enthusiastic Product Owner who is highly motivated, capable of working unsupervised or as part of a collaborative development team who communicates effectively. Ideally the candidate would be someone who has already had experience as a Product Owner and has worked in the financial services or banking sector. Key to this role would be the ability to agree functional requirements with customers and translate these requirements into specifications of changes to a core product. This role also requires good knowledge/understanding of the banking market. Experience of doing this in Agile or incremental way would be beneficial. The duties of the Product Owner will include but not be limited to: · Work alongside Agile product teams (Development, Testing, and Client teams) · Maintain the product backlog · Analyse business/customer requirements and create high quality epics and user stories that can be used by development team · Capable to present effectively business/functional requirements to other teams · Gather a good business and functional understanding of our product · Responsible for product configuration changes · Work with key internal and external stakeholders · Capable to document requirements and lead other teams during impact assessments activities Essential skills: · Experience in Agile methodology · Experience in working in a distributed environment (including offshore would be preferable) · Creating Epics, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria’s · Good knowledge of digital financial/banking products/services · Communication skills · Strong attention to detail · Confident stakeholder/client management Experience and Knowledge: · Approx. 2 years of experience as a Product Owner In return you will benefit from: By joining the Sopra Banking Software team you will enjoy our excellent rewards and benefits schemes including a 6% pension contribution, employee share scheme (buy one get one free), an option to buy or sell holiday days,medical insurance, critical illness cover, a health cash plan, and an openness to discussing flexible working arrangements, plus many more excellent benefits.
