Principal Software Engineer/Architect - Farnborough - £75-95k SearchDATA Group is currently recruiting a Principal Software Engineer/Architect to join a cutting-edge technology business based in Farnborough. You'll be joining a company witnessing a significant period of rapid growth as they are set to deliver their next generation of cloud-based software packaged to their customers. Summary: We require an individual who can provide leadership and technical direction of products as they expand into international markets, playing a key role in alignment and improvement of products towards a cloud native microservice architecture. In this position you will have the opportunity to take a leading role in technology decisions driving the business expansion through scalable SaaS solutions. You will join a growing team defined by shared ownership, working with a diverse tech stack including C#, Azure and open source technologies such as Angular. With a drive towards continuous delivery this is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience and take a leading role in a fast-paced software development environment. The company has a strong tech start-up culture and is growing rapidly. With a number of technology products already launched to the market; implementing core services to ensure re-use across the product portfolio will be key. You will be highly collaborative and be used to working with distributed teams in a product led business that delivers new software at least every month. Requirements: Expert in C# .Net & SQL, microservice / SOA architectures, and cloud native deployment on Azure. You will have experience developing and running distributed microservices, designing for high availability, scalability and low latency. You work collaboratively with tech leads and other developers and are also able to take ownership of projects, architectural and technical decisions. You will be an individual with proven track record in delivery and be confident to be able to build working designs and implementations where required so still maintaining a strong hands on ability is key to success within this role. You will follow technical enhancements and developments within the industry and take new ideas and concepts and be able to design and apply those solutions in to high scalable PaaS solutions. Desirable: Experience with Angular, Azure DevOps and Continuous Delivery. Knowledge and experience of working with AI/ML, such as Forms Recogniser, and other Cognitive Services are also highly desirable. Working knowledge of the Azure Blockchain Service is also very beneficial and shows the technologies that are at the forefront of the company's existing development and architecture. Knowledge of native mobile app development on Android and Apple devices or knowledge of Xamarin would also be highly desirable.
