Overview

Get to work for the UK’s leading independent provider of mental health care in a 28 bedded mixed-gender acute psychiatry hospital rated ‘good’ in their latest CQC inspection. Do you want to work closely and alongside a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist and an RMO/SHO, caring for 14 patients through the provision of continuous medical cover on a daily basis? Do you value a person-centered approach and therapeutic environment, which promotes collaborative care planning to optimise treatment goals? Maybe you just want to work Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:00, with no on-call responsibilities? If you've answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, and are GMC registered with 12 months adult psychiatry experience, then this is worth exploring. In your role as a Speciality Doctor, each patient must be interviewed and reassessed at a frequency appropriate to their individual clinical needs and sufficient to monitor changes and make timely modifications to the treatment plan. OR if this sounds like your next job, then hit apply on this ad Requirements Full GMC registration 12 months’ adult psychiatry experience Relevant experience within a similar setting (preferred) Approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act (preferred) Excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 (2007) and Code of Practice along with Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity The ability to interview, assess and treat patients and write clear comprehensive medical notes Proven record of CPD Desirable: Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists, Physicians, General Practitioners or equivalent
