Overview
Company: Brewster Partners are working with a hugely successful global business based in Sheffield who are now looking to attract an Interim Project Accountant with international experience to join their group finance team based at their City Centre HQ in Sheffield. The business has a massive international presence and they are looking for an immediately available accountant to join a business which is about to enter a significant period of investment over the next 12 months. This role will support the transformation phase of the finance system internationally over the next 9 months. Key Responsibilities include: Review group and local trial balances for a variety of entities in different countries Reconcile balance sheet accounts Discuss the balances and reconciliations with local finance teams to understand the balances and to agree if any cleansing is needed Follow up with the local finance team to ensure journals have been posted and balances are clean Report on the project progress regularly to the Controller and to the Project Board Maintain the momentum of the project The Person: Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) is a preference Strong technical background and technical competency Advanced Excel skills Attention to detail and problem solving aptitude Previous international exposure is advantageous Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills (both internal and external) Experience in influencing and challenging current practice and thinking Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and fluent English "Self-starter" persona, who is able to work on their own initiative as well as being part of a team, and has a strong client service orientation Ability to operate in sometimes ambiguous situations, demonstrating a flexible and collaborative personal working style Great multi-tasking skills and ability to work to conflicting timescales on multiple priorities in a robust and fast-paced environment Desire or/and flexibility to travel internationally Interest in finance systems Benefits: A competitive salary on offer for the successful candidate You will likely be looking for a contract between £35/40k level Fantastic company benefits and working culture.
