Overview

Qualified Management Accountant - TV/Entertainment - Central London My client, an international Media Production company are looking for a newly qualified/finalist Management Accountant to join the team in London. This production company are a industry leader within the entertainment field and include a roster of incredible clients. This Management Accountant will be responsible for delivery of all internal, external and group reporting requirements across several areas within finance. Working closely beside the Financial Controller, this Management Accountant will act as a key member of the team, and is highly visible to both the business and central departments. This role would suit a candidate at finalist/or newly qualified level with experience within TV/Entertainment. Key responsibilities: Alongside the Financial Controller, assist in the submission of month end reporting requirements on Cognos and Anaplan General month end responsibilities, including reviewing fixed assets and depreciation, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, accrual and prepayment postings, ad-hoc journals Responsibility for all finance requirements; including but not limited to: management accounts overheads invoicing payment run (alongside production accountant) submission of monthly cash flow to the Story Films management team and advising on any future cash flow requirements Posting staff and production recharges for the Group, working with Production Accountants to maximise recoveries within production budgets Preparation of accurate Group weekly cash flow submission alongside Central Payroll & Production Account, as well as the Finance Assistants Group VAT returns to HMRC and dealing with all HMRC correspondence Oversight of distribution revenues and payaways Assistance on completion of annual external audit and internal audit Preparation of the monthly Central payroll for submission to the payroll bureau Posting off all payroll journals Maintain central staff salaries forecast Maintain the month end checklist and following up with the team to ensure the deadlines are met Support to finance and production teams on PMI Provide support and cover to the wider finance team as required Key skills: Ideally newly qualified/finalist ACCA/CIMA Demonstrable experience of TV Production is highly desirable Excellent communication skills Ability to work in fast paced environments, to tight deadlines A self starter who can prioritise a busy work load IT literate with solid MS Excel skills Experience of PMI accounting production would be advantageous Apply today Handle actively welcomes applicants from under-represented backgrounds PLEASE NOTE: Due to the high volume of applications we receive we are unable to respond to everyone.
