Painter and Decorator Location; Brighton Salary; Up to £13.00 per hour Hours; Monday Friday, 8am 5pm Contract; Ongoing Do you have a passion for painting & decorating, if so we have an opportunity working on a commercial site. An established Leading facilities maintenance company are looking for a painter & decorator to join their team on a large Campus based in Falmer. Main Responsibilities for the Painter and Decorator; Working in an interior and exterior environment Handling planning and prep work in an efficient manner Calculating the amount of materials and time required for said project Preparing the surrounding areas by covering with cloth or plastic to prevent messes Taping off areas as needed Moving furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project Preparing surfaces - washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint Mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces Cleaning up supplies and replacing fixtures when project is complete.
