Overview

We are currently working exclusively with a large complex organisation who are looking for 2 Payroll Administrators on a temporary basis, with one role possibly becoming permanent. Due to the urgency of the role you must be available for an immediate start. Only people with payroll experience will be considered Responsibilities Telephone and email enquiries from employees and managers and traded services customers Creating new starters on the HR system, processing P45's and bank details through to payment Dealing with contract variations - increase/decrease in hours, issuing contract variation letters, changes to pension bandings/contributions Restructure/service review outcomes - process changes and issue contract change correspondence Monitor and review contract extension dates for temporary workers Work shift patterns and holiday plans amendments processing Jo re-grades - following re-evaluation, process changes Permanent and temporary staff allowance changes - attaching allowances to employees, processing payments Processing sick pay, maternity and paternity pay Dealing with voluntary deductions - childcare vouchers, council tax, credit union, trade union etc General queries for e.g annual leave entitlements/calculations Information enquiries - mortgage references, insurance claims, P45 and pension forms Producing pension estimates, issuing confirmation letters Responsible for checking any other transactions relating to HR/payroll/pensions Ensuring compliance with internal process/audit and HMRC regulations Prepare orders and requisitions Maintain income and expenditure accounts, monitor process and overpayments Process timesheets for temps/casual cover Reconcile bank statements monthly Requirements NVQ level 3 in either Business Administration/Customer Service or CIPP or CIPD level 3 Keen eye for detail Able to work with little supervision Good understanding of Local Government Terms & Conditions/ Teachers Terms& conditions and current payroll and employment legislation
