Role: Quality Control Assistant Location: South London Salary: DOE Russell Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic graduate to join a vibrant, dynamic team within a multi-award-winning beauty and skincare company who pride themselves on natural, cruelty-free and vegan products. Role Purpose: The purpose of this role is to ensure that quality control procedures are conducted in compliance with standards of current ISO 22716:2007 Cosmetics - Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), thereby providing continuous support to our product quality and safety. These may include: Process validation Maintaining QC standards for incoming componentry, raw materials, manufactured bulks and finished products Assuring criteria are met prior to product release The designation and monitoring of storage conditions for materials and products The retention of analytical records and inspection reports The monitoring of compliance with the requirements of GMP The inspection, investigation and taking samples in order to monitor factors which may affect product quality Ensuring that a timely and effective communication and escalation process exists to raise quality issues to the appropriate levels of management Essence of Role/Role Requirements: Quality Control Assistant in QC activities to ensure compliance with GMP, Testing Specifications and SOPs that the company has in place Create and maintain QC check sheets for: gift boxes, finished products, raw materials and packing materials Issuing batch sheets and batch codes Monitor, input, review and update material safety data information where required including: COSHH/GHS information and documentation (MSDs/SDS) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & QC documentation Work with and complete when required, quality documentation including SOP, specifications and GMP records Ensure Quality Control Documentations are reviewed, processed correctly and in a timely manner, including Documentation (MSDs/SDS/COA/SPECs), QC investigation forms, Deviations and Batch sheets and QC Check forms Input accurate and up to date data where required on the following systems including: Marco, Sage, Spreadsheets, Shared files, QC database and Google forms Support to Head of Quality Prompt and deal with Process Deviations/Out of Specifications/need for Corrective and Preventative Actions for quality impact Investigate incidents that have resulted in non-conformance or compliance failures Raise incidents that may result in quality control issues Product Manuals Create and maintain product manuals for Gift boxes and finished products Auditing Participate in internal audits where required, working with the QA to provide responses and actions Inspection Inspection, document and retention of incoming ingredients, components, manufactured bulk, documentation, finished product, lab standards/benchmarks, dispatch parcels and goods sent to 3rd parties Person: Degree in Science of a related field Interest within the Cosmetic industry Previous experience in a Quality Role is preferred Other Information Full time role: 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
